Ultimate Power

It’s officially been a week since landing back in LA from my mini vacation in NY, where I caught one of the most exciting matches of this year’s Open (Federer vs. Djokovic) among many other awesome matches. Every time a Grand Slam rolls around, I morph into “obsessive sports fan” mode..checking scores constantly, reading predictions, always looking for a tv…basically behavior that I used to characterize as “crazy”. This year, I decided to put my obsession into doing something productive before leaving on my trip…finally making “tennis glam” shoot idea I’ve had for awhile happen as a mini tribute to my favorite tournament of the year.
Gathering up my favorite tennis outfits, Jama and I headed just east of downtown LA and were fortunate enough to have had the courts to ourselves all afternoon.
I shot with the 5D and two Hensel Porty packs (thanks Eric!), at full power, using the sun as a backlight. It was such a fun afternoon; hanging out, shooting, and rallying in between setups.
